17 How did your close familiarity with Dr-Light contribute to designing the new store? Design has always been an exciting adventure for me. Whether it’s a brand-new label or a long-established brand like Dr-Light that has been shaping the industry for years, I view each project as an adventure and work with the same enthusiasm. First of all, I want to emphasize that showcasing lighting is a true art. One needs to be proficient in both the design and the technical aspects of the product. I know Dr-Light well; we have been working together for a long time. The founder of the company, Agop Dülgar, and I share the same perspective on lighting design. We have been involved in the dream phase of many products in the Dr-Light collection. Therefore, I am very familiar with the stories of the products to be displayed. For this reason, I can say it wasn’t difficult to bring my dreams first to paper and then to real life. What was on your mind when starting the project? Dr-Light is an innovative family. While continuously innovating in their collections, they do not drift apart the functionality of the work. I drew inspiration from this aspect of the brand identity and aimed to blend bold yet simple, creative yet functional designs. I set out to create a modern, timeless, and aesthetic concept to present visitors with an unforgettable design, employing unique designs.
