Taş yüzeylerin o pütürlü dokusunu, tonozların derinliğini, mekânın ritmini vurgulamak için ışıkla oynadık. Doğal ışığı maksimize ederken, yapay aydınlatmayı da katmanlı bir şekilde, adeta bir sahne tasarımı gibi işledik. Where do smart office technologies stand within this historical texture? For me, technology means invisible comfort. You should not see complex cables or oversized panels on a historic wall. We structured smart systems—from lighting to climate control—within an intuitive infrastructure that does not overwhelm the user. Technology does not overshadow the space; on the contrary, it works quietly in the background to enhance quality of life. Let’s come to the most striking point… In this project, lighting seems to dance with the architecture. How did you use light as an instrument? Light is the hidden hero of this project. When working within a historic structure, the only way to reveal its texture is through the right lighting. We did not use lighting merely to illuminate; we used it to narrate the architecture. We played with light to emphasize the rugged texture of the stone surfaces, the depth of the vaults, and the rhythm of the space. While maximizing natural light, we layered artificial lighting almost like stage design.
