Bölgenin doğallığı, sakinliği ve kendine özgü atmosferi tasarımın çıkış noktası oldu. En kritik aşama, bu doğallığı bozmadan mekâna nasıl uyarlayacağımı netleştirmekti. Tasarım yaparken her zaman önce mekânın ruhuna ve kullanıcı deneyimine odaklanıyoruz. Bizim için işlevsellik, estetiğin önüne geçmiyor; ikisi birbirini besleyen iki temel unsur. Bir mekân hem güzel görünmeli hem de içinde yaşamak doğal ve rahat hissettirmeli. Bu projede özellikle doğayla uyum, malzeme seçimi ve mekânsal akış üzerinde durduk. Kazdağları’nın sakinliğini ve doğallığını bozmadan, yapının çevreyle bütünleşmesini hedefledik. Estetik kararlarımızı da bu yaklaşım yönlendirdi; her detayın hem işlevsel hem de bölgenin atmosferine uygun olmasına özen gösterdik. Benimsediğiniz özel bir tasarım stili var mı? Benimsediğimiz tek bir tasarım stili olduğunu söyleyemeyiz; daha çok mekânın kendi karakterinin bizi yönlendirmesine izin veriyoruz. Doğallık, yalınlık ve zamansızlık ise çoğu projemizde ortak bir çizgi olarak kendini gösteriyor. Özellikle bu projede, bölgenin ruhunu bozmadan, onunla uyum içinde bir estetik yaratmak bizim için temel yaklaşım haline geldi. Which stages were critical for you while preparing this project? We first tried to understand the spirit of Kazdağları. The region’s natural character, tranquility, and distinctive atmosphere became the starting point of the design. The most critical stage was clarifying how to translate this naturalness into the space without disrupting it. Selecting materials compatible with nature, configuring the building with respect for its surroundings, and preserving that regional sensibility in every detail were the most important parts of the preparation process. After that, the project began to flow almost as if it were emerging organically from nature itself. Which aspects did you focus on most during the design process? In every project, we primarily focus on the spirit of the space and the user experience. For us, functionality does not override aesthetics; they are two essential elements that nourish one another. A space should look beautiful, but it should also feel natural and comfortable to inhabit. In this project, we especially emphasized harmony with nature, material selection, and spatial flow. Our goal was to ensure that the building integrated seamlessly with its environment without disturbing the calm and natural character of Kazdağları. Aesthetic decisions were guided by this approach, ensuring that every detail was both functional and aligned with the region’s atmosphere. Do you follow a specific design style? We wouldn’t say we adhere to a single, fixed design style; rather, we allow the space’s own character to guide us. Naturalness, simplicity, and timelessness are recurring qualities across many of our projects. In this particular one, creating an aesthetic that harmonizes with the region—without overshadowing its spirit— became our core approach.
