Our collaboration with Dr-Light began while we were seeking a warm, calm atmosphere that would support natural light. From previous collaborations, we already knew their attention to detail, material quality, and expertise in shaping light according to a space’s character—these qualities impressed us the most. They provided the flexibility and technical support we needed to create a lighting language that was nature-compatible, understated, yet full of character. As a result, lighting evolved from being merely a complementary element into a component that strengthens the identity of the space. What was the most significant contribution of the products used in this project? Their most important contribution was creating a warm and understated lighting language that supports the space’s natural atmosphere. The quality of materials and the softness of light distribution reinforced the project’s relationship with nature. Rather than dominating the space, the products played a complementary role—resulting in an atmosphere that is both functional and aligned with the calm spirit of Kazdağları. How did you feel after completing the project? The first feeling we experienced upon completion was a deep sense of calm. The relationship the design established with nature came together exactly as we had envisioned. The most satisfying aspect was seeing that the space genuinely carried the spirit of its geography. When nature-compatible materials, the way light spreads through the space, and the tranquil atmosphere came together, the result was not just a building—but an experience that truly conveys the essence of Kazdağları.
